A Layover in Hong Kong – The Big Buddha

Currently I am in LA, just left the SF bay area yesterday. My good friend Nimai is coming from Hawaii to tour with me. We have 2 weeks to get to Rochester. I’m going through the photographs I made while on my trip. I didn’t have much time to blog there so I’ll be catching up.

On my way to Nepal I had a 24-hour layover in Hong Kong. This was my first time in China, and I heard about a huge statue of Buddha on a hill not too far from the airport. So I left the airport, got a taxi and rode it up the mountain. It was a fantastic mini-adventure and I returned by Gondola with a see through floor. You’ll see sunken boats, and fishermen wading in the waters. I can definitely say I made the most out of this small time frame.
