I had the honor of photographing the food as well. As the opening ceremony for the US flagship branch of Yang Braised Chicken. Since it’s beginning in 2011, Yang’s has grown to over 6,000 stores and has opened its first restaurant in Australia earlier this year. They make only this dish and serve it until they sell out. This business model works well in creating high quality food consistently, simply by eliminating options. The popular burger chain In-N-Out has a similar business approach that works very well for them. After the shoot, they graciously treated me and my assistant to a delicious meal.
