This year I drove down to Uniontown, PA to spend some time with my friend Keith W. McManus. Keith and I went out on Christmas Eve to just drive around the Monongahela Valley. I was admiring all of the various people’s christmas decorations and decided to stop at them and make photographs. Driving around south of Pittsburgh you get to see a lot of the influence of the coal industry aswell as the remnants of a once strong steel community.
Photographs were made using a Holga lens and I’ve been experimenting with a new program for making diptych’s.
