Yesterday I went for a walk around the 19th Ward, a neighborhood known as one of Rochester’s rougher places. As I walked I was lured by objects that both interact with the environment and also describe a little bit about what this place is like.
- Recently thrown out tires sit in the snow
- Lottery tickets litter the local community garden
- A manger scene locked away inside a plexiglass case
- The Genesee River which divides the 19th Ward from the South Wedge, which is considered a nicer part of town
- Plastic bags adorn a tree at a local school
- A person walks over the Genesee River on Ford St Bridge with the city skyline in the background

- Tree in a bucket

Nice photos. The littering is sad.
